Commentary
Greenland wax treatment for water repellency, often used on cotton and polycotton fabrics. This time, I used my own Greenland wax to remake the poncho tent of the Polish army that was torn due to various circumstances. The time required for this time is 30 minutes for dissolving, 15 minutes for a total of 45 minutes, and the amount used is about 20g. For the whole poncho tent, it may be good to see four times this. …
Also, even if you think that the Greenland wax has been applied perfectly, there will likely be spots where the paint is not applied or where the paint is loose.
Make

Apply Greenland wax evenly until the fabric is white and shiny.
It is okay to touch only the one that touches the water, but applying it on both sides will increase the certainty.
If the wax is hard and difficult to apply, it will be easier to apply while warming the fabric with a hair dryer.
Also, for areas that are difficult to apply, melt the wax in a hot water bath until it becomes liquid and use a brush to make it easier to apply. -
Heat gun・Hair dryer・Iron Melt the wax to penetrate the fabric.
We recommend using a heat gun or hair dryer as the heat reaches even small areas and melts a wide area.
This time I used a hair dryer, but it takes a few seconds for the first time to melt, but since the fabric itself is warm, once it melts, the Greenland wax will start to melt as soon as you put it on. -
Water repellency test
It took a little time to take a picture, so it's a little absorbed, but it's water repellent. Since this fabric is cotton, even if it absorbs water, the back side remains dry.
