[Tschum] Fire Bowl Lowimpact review
Review of the Fire Bowl Lowimpact fire pit by German camp manufacturer Tschum. Guten Morgen!
Overview
A fire ball using a thick stainless steel plate.
In order to withstand thermal expansion, each plate is 2 mm thick and uses stainless steel that is resistant to heat and acid.
By combining 3 to 6 plates, it can be used for various sizes such as bonfires, barbecues, dodge ovens and fireplaces.
Each plate is about 310g, and the total amount is 1,880g.引用元:http://thrive-japan.jp/tschum.html

The description of the product looks like this.
Only Regular sizes can be purchased from authorized distributors, and Large and X-Large products are only imported in parallel. When I look at Amazon, even parallel imports say "10 years warranty", but the smell that I can't guarantee just by copying and copying is pungent. If you are worried about the warranty, ask the store.
By the way, the official agency website is here, and the official website of the original tschum is here. German, of course.
I contacted Tschum directly and tried to import it personally, No good. Buy from an agency. Or buy it via another country.
what is Tschum
The reading of Tschum is Chan. The explanation of the official agency is like this.
A tent maker that started in the town of Bad Salzuflen in northern Germany. The origin of the brand name means "house" in the old Siberian language, and it started in response to the demand for a fire-resistant tent. The brand was just launched in 2016, but we have been making use of our experience as a German distributor of tent makers to produce custom specifications tailored to users.引用元:http://thrive-japan.jp/tschum.html
It's a new maker that was just opened in 2016, but tents are quite popular. I often use overseas bush crafters and do things around the world.
I sell not only tents and bonfires, but also wood stoves and small items, but I don't see even parallel imports, so I might have to patiently search for those who want them.
This person is the owner. It looks like a German.
Similar bonfire stand
In fact, there are some similar bonfires. It's like a bowl with a combination of several plates.
If you look at the completed form in a wide area, the snow peak bonfire is also very similar.

Compared in this way, the specifications of Tschum look good. I didn't choose it according to the specs, but as long as I am happy with it.
Diversion of wind screen
Actually, you can use the asimocrafts asi_circle短 windscreen.
It's not a perfect fit, though.
Merit
There may not be so much merit.
It's hard to cover with others... It's low, so it's just the right height for a solid ground group... It's durable... I wonder.
The storage is compact, but if you choose compactness, there are many other good bonfires, and if you want to evaluate compactness, you want to consider the weight together, but the weight is not light at all.
I see it as heavy in reviews, but I don't feel it is heavy. But if you think about this size, is it still heavy?
It's a disadvantage for the chairs to be low and close to an open fire. If you are sitting on a chair, it may be hard to use unless you place it on a table.
But it's perfect if you use a reflector like Bushcraft. On other fire platforms, it's too tall to make reflectors.
If you dig a little into the ground, it would be nice to have an open flame from what it looks like, but if you do, you'll be doing it with a direct flame.
When you are asked why you are using it, I don't feel so much of a merit that there is only an answer that "I love the faults because I like it."
But I really like how simple it looks. There is a Japanese garage brand (I think it is) a pattern-like air hole. A simple design that doesn't mean that it's a crazy design that people want to be told, "What kind of firehouse?"
It's a very sturdy design that is really German. There are things that are similar to Mercedes/BMW/Audi.
Ah, personally, I like using SUS316Ti, an alloy of stainless steel and titanium.
Demerit
There are great disadvantages. It's tenko prime.
Size
I have a regular one, and regular dealers only sell regular ones, so this is a regular story.
It's true that it's just the right size for a solo camp, but it's tough if you don't cut it in half if you use commercially available firewood.
If you put it in for a long time, it will fall outside the potato and you have to collect it each time. Since there is no depth, it is difficult to build extra firewood.
In terms of depth, there is a high probability that firewood will stick out from the bonfire and it will be difficult to cook. It may not be possible to cook satisfactorily unless it is a tall stand-type Gotoku (This). It is not recommended to put it on the bonfire to touch it.
I use firewood that has remained for a long time instead of Gotoku, but if it is not a simple dish, it may not have firewood. Even so, I think that firewood Gotoku is enough for those who don't cook well.
Furthermore, if you cook it completely, it will not stick out and it will be easier to cook, but it will take time and effort because you have to cook it every time you cook.
Tschum has a special grill for piercing the ground, but it's not available in Japan, and the price of 60 euro (about 7,500 yen) is about 20,000 yen. Right. here It seems to be sold to, but I do not know when it will disappear.
A net with 100 feet fits perfectly, but I personally don't like it so I haven't used it. I'm worried about the strength... (Like luxury cars wearing cheap tires)
Air holes
You can see from the picture above that the firewood sticks out, but as it accumulates water and blocks the air holes below, it's easy to get oxygen deficiency. You can make a lot of memories of blowing with a fire stick.
Isn't it suitable for a bonfire to see? (Although not suitable for cooking)
I'm disassembling 100 parts of a ladle and using it as a base, but what is the visible effect? ?
Plate combination
I don't really use that much. Besides, 3 and 4 are quite difficult to assemble. I see here and there that "it will be easier to assemble if you put the fire in several times", but it's hard. If you don't know that you can assemble it, it feels like you are trying to force it.
Is the three-disc set like a wood stove?
5 pieces are used when you want depth. But it doesn't change much so it feels like a placebo.
When the plate was still beautiful, I used the surplus one instead of the iron plate.
Others
I fix the plate with a pin so that it doesn't come off, but if you're not careful, you'll lose the pin immediately.
When you put it on the ground, it disappears because it is hidden by grass and stone at the end. I try to put it on and take it off, even if I bounce and fly away.
Although there are many substitutes, it's nice...
In the merit section, I said that it looks like an open fire, but the fact that it is close to the ground can be a disadvantage because it burns grass or makes it ashy.
If it's okay to use an open flame, I'll open it. If it doesn't work, I have to take care of it. It's a delicate standing position.
What about Tschum after all?
I explained only the disadvantages, but if you fall in love at first sight, you should buy it. Tschum does not betray a loved one.
It's certainly heavier than a compact bonfire, but unlike a compact bonfire with a mesh or a fire bed, its durability is incomparable.
On the contrary, I don't recommend 1 mm for those who want a convenient or popular bonfire.
It may be small at X-Large even when surrounded by a family camp or by multiple people.
Specs can be compared with various fire platforms using the fire platform comparison tool.
Assembling video
I showed the assembly video many times, but I took it myself, so I'll take a look.
Bonfire video without anything is also in the second half.
