Sluff type

There are three main types of sleeping bags.

How to clean up

First, take out the compression bag just behind the DOD logo, then stretch the sleeping bag neatly and divide it into three equal parts. .

Roll it up and put it in the compression bag.

Close the zippers on both sides, stretch the belt once, and fasten the buckle.
Finally, if you tighten the belt while pulling the string tightly, it will become very compact.

As you can see, once you get used to it, you can withdraw it within a minute.

Notes and countermeasures

Although "my sleeping bag" is very convenient, there are some points to be careful of.

Cold around the neck

This is also a characteristic of the envelope (rectangular) shape, but in seasons other than summer there is a space around the neck, so it may feel a little cold.
Especially when adults and children sleep next to each other, there is a big difference in the thickness of their bodies, which makes it easier for air to get inside.

That's why we use gauze blankets at my house during the chilly seasons.

By keeping the gauze blanket close to your body, there will be less space between the sleeping bags, increasing heat retention.
Also, gauze blankets have the characteristic of not being bulky, so if you only have one or two sheets, you can just lay them out together and clean up.

Knack required for temperature control

Since the whole family sleeps together, it is difficult to adjust the temperature for each person.
For example, children are sweating so much that they want to kick off the futon, but adults are cold.

If you feel hot

If it's too hot, adjust the zipper or the order in which you sleep.
Open the side zipper and place the person who is sensitive to cold in the middle and the person who is sensitive to heat at the end.
By doing so, those who are sensitive to cold can be wrapped in insulated air and stay warm, and those who are sensitive to heat can sleep cool because their hands and feet can be extended from the sides of the sleeping bag.

And if you remove all the zippers like this, the top and bottom will come apart.
You can sleep like a futon, so when you feel hot, you can open the zipper to adjust the temperature, or change the comforter to a gauze blanket.

If you feel cold

On cold days in spring and fall, or in winter, close all three zippers to prevent warm air from escaping.
